What is the translation of yezi in mandarin characters?

yezi could be:


1. (simplified characters) 叶子 (traditional characters) 葉子; or
2. (simplified characters) 椰子 (traditional characters) 椰子

1. means leaf
2. means coconut

How do you say "bamboo" in Cantonese with the proper tone too ?

Also, how do you say "potential energy" in Cantonese with the proper tones?
