"paau laau"?

i was wondering if anyone had a definition for the word 'paau laau' which in mandarin would sound something like "pao lao" i don't know if there's any hanzi? help!! thanks :)

拋錨 paau1 laau4 for cars means break down, but putonghua should be pao mao
