Filler words in Chinese

I sometimes find filler words can be distracting to an audience and hence I have decided to try and cut them out but it is difficult. Here are a few of the worst offenders: 那个..., 就是说, 那么,所以呢,等等,怎么说呢,非常非常。。,是不是,
Anyone else got this issue?

xiēhòuyǔ -- Chinese Folk Sayings

I know that the short definition of xie hou yu is a two-part saying in which the first part gives a description of something and the second part gives the meaning.
I need to figure out a way to briefly talk about and give an example of xie hou yu . Can someone please help?

measure word of 香蕉 (个,根,条,只)

I was surprised when my textbook introduced the measure word for 香蕉. It says 个 is the correct one. A good friend from Shanghai said 根 is the only correct one and I used that when shopping for bananas. If I had to guess freely, I thought 条 should be correct. Google says: "一只香蕉" 594,000 (edi...

农产品安全供应 - safe or guaranteed?

Does this sentence 农产品安全供应convey that the food supply needs to be secured/guaranteed or that the food supplied need to be safe (eg not contaminated).
Not quite sure here.

So what's your favourite Chinese vocabulary item ending in a neutral tone? I don't think anything with 子 should count, too easy, but if you really want to I'll allow it.

There was a previous discussion on the differences between 呆 and 待 meaning to stay. Some people thought it seemed odd to have a word that was pronounced the same yet was written differently. Is the situation the same with 无 and 毋 meaning "not ..."? I was wondering if 毋 is a word that occur...
